Blue skies and walleyes

What an amazing weekend!
Not only did the weather cooperate but the fish brought in were incredible.
The tournament record was shattered twice in one weekend! And the end of the tournament had everyone on pins and needles waiting to see if the top team from day one could pull it off two days in a row and become champs.
Well they did it and the crowd went crazy as “Raise a Little Hell” sounded over the speaker system.
We have to be thankful for all the hard work the committee did and for the great show that the anglers put on for us.

But most of all we have to be thankful for the amazing blue skies we had while those competitors caught the big walleyes.
The way the weather has been this year, I was amazed that we received three nice days in a row. Usually we get one or two and then four days of rain and cooler weather.
Rainy River has been lucky this year when it comes to events. It was nice for the centennial and now the RRWT. Maybe we will get lucky and Christmas will be green this year.
–Until then,
Ken
