Orise Marguerite Langlais, 77

In loving memory of Orise Marguerite Langlais who passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on June 19, 2001 at the age of 77.
Orise was born on March 31, 1931 in Pinewood, Ontario. She married Leo Langlais on April 19, 1949.
Orise is survived by her husband Leo Langlais, mother Valeda Larocque of Pinewood, ON. Her children, Leona (Rick) Mandryk of Thunder Bay, Claude (Diana) Langlais, Daniel (Anne) Langlais, Richard (Marg) Langlais, Janice Langlais, Colleen (Doug) Skomoroh, Micheal (Cathy) Langlais, Paul (Sandra) Langlais, Guy (Wendy) Langlais, Leo (Tracy) Langlais of Dryden. As well as 24 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, Brother and Sister’s Philip Larocque (Marg) of Rainy River, Theresa Tyhy of Red Deer, AB., Elise Boyda (Frank) of Atikokan, Hubert Larocque (Marg) of Thompson, MB., Yvette Lauzon (Philip) of Fort Frances. sister’s and brother’s in Law, Lea Dubois of Winnipeg, Ann Asselin of Pinewood, Albert Langlais (Joanne) of Ear Falls, Alphonse Langlais (Annette) of Pinewood, Francis Goodman of Rainy River, Madeline Desaunier of Sioux Lookout, Betty Wesley (Denis) of Nanimo, B.C., Tony Golicouer of Pinewood and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Orise was predeceased by her Father Leonide Larocque, her son Jerry Langlais, son-in-law Ken McDougald, grandsons Micheal McDougald and Ryan Mandryk.
Orise was employed by the Town of Dryden Parks Board, retiring in 1996.
Orise’s greatest and proudest accomplishment was her large family. She was a very special person who had an interest in all her family affairs.
She was also a very talented and artistic person who loved to spend any spare time doing her many hobbies. These included painting, pottery, quilting and knitting, and especially loved to refinish antique furniture.
Orise had a very special bond with her 8 daughter-in-laws and 2 son-in-laws.
She will be very sadly missed by her two best friends, Irene and Leona.
Our hearts are broken and she will be so missed by all.
Visitation for Orise Marguerite Langlais was held at the Dryden Community Funeral Home on June 21, 2001 from 2-8 p.m. with prayers being held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services were held at the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, on June 22, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Luigi Filippini Officiating. Interment in the Dryden Cemetery followed.
