I may have gotten my knees back!
I have always heard that as one gets older the aches and pains become more prevalent and in the past few years I have come to accept that I am going to have to buck up and accept them as part of my life.
As a young boy I could run like the wind. I remember participating in track and field and having great speed. But at the time the price of speed came with sore knees and ankles. The doctor told me I would likely have bad knees all my life and that they would get worse as time wore on.
In my 20s I could scooch down in front of a crowd to get my photos for the paper. Then in my 30s it became increasingly difficult to get back up after scooching. I feared I would get down there and not be able to get back up some day!
Now in my 40s... I have found it difficult to scooch or kneel down and get back up.
I told myself I could handle it. I often would take an Advil for the pain especially when the weather changes from dry to damp or vice versa.
Then over the weekend my sister-in-law was visiting and she mentioned she was taking Glucosamine-Chondroitin with MSM. She said she has pretty much regained full mobility in her shoulders where she was having problems.
I have thought of taking this before but every time I looked at the price tag, $30 a bottle, I cringed thinking it may be money lost if it did not work.
So I decided to buy a small bottle for $15 on Sunday and after the first day it was amazing the difference in my knees. I joked with my honey that if this keeps up I will be running a marathon in no time.
I am hoping the lack of crunchy joints and pain in my knees is not just a fluke. Time will tell, especially when the seasons change. But if it continues to work I will have no problem spending the money on this product.
–Until then,
Ken
