Rainy River when it was a mill town!

Before the 1910 fire Rainy River was a bustling mill town as can be seen from this photo, taken from atop the tower on the now Masonic Lodge facing east. If you look close you can see lumber stacked up behind the mill (to the back and right of the photo behind the smoke stack). The large building in the left center is the old Alexandra School which was located where the tennis courts are now.
