What to do when technology fails!
Technology is such a big part of our lives now. So what does one do when we suddenly are without some of it?
Over the weekend that happened to me beginning Thursday evening when I had an accident with my cell phone. While trying to get a charger out of the cupboard a flashlight, one of those 6 volt ones, fell out of it and landed on my phone. The phone went flying to the floor.
The screen was damaged and my roller ball would not scroll down.
At the same time, the computer at my fiancees house went down a little over a week ago.
My phone is like a mini computer, allowing me to not only call people, but text message them, instant message and use social medias like Facebook.
So when the phone is inoperable I usually access a computer to keep in contact with my family and friends.
Losing both of them last week I was at first feeling like I had lost an important tool, key to my daily life. But as in any situation, us humans adapt.
I just went back to doing things that involved not needing advanced technology. I did some shovelling and on Saturday I even dared to engage in face to face conversation with my honey, and my visiting brother and sister in law! :|
–Until then,
