OLWS kids honoured

The Northwest Catholic District School Board recognized Our Lady of the Way School’s Student Council: Kurt Desserre, Rebecca Zimmerman, Caitlin Big George and Braydon Kreger. Kurt is a Playground Activity Leader in School (PAL), which is promoted by the Northwestern Health Unit. PAL organizes and facilitates recess activities for daily exercise. Rebecca is also a member of PAL and received an award for her involvement in the D.A.R.E. Program. Rebecca informed Trustees about Voyageur Day held at Our Lady of the Way every year and highlighted all the activities. Board Chair Anne-Marie Fitzgerald acknowledged the students’ work by stating, “We are proud of the Catholic student leadership in our system.”
