Legion helps with Canada Day!

Legion President Walter Wagner presented event organizers, Meghan Shanks, right and Nikki Blakeney, left, with a cheque for $1,000 from the Legion.
The money was donated to help with the costs of the Canada Day celebrations in the park, which Shanks said were pretty much free of charge all day for families!
Blakeney represented the Best Start Hub and Shanks the Rainy River Recreation Board. Both are partners in the organizing and running of Canada Day festivities along with several other groups.
