Watch for our centennial edition July 20

As the centennial approaches at super-sonic speeds, the community is busy getting ready for the event of a century!
We here at the Record have been no exception to that rule.
For the past several months we have been busy gathering history and getting it together with ads from local and district businesses/groups. Now we are only one week away from releasing our centennial edition and I find myself both excited and feeling a sense of relief that it is nearly completed.
Many of you will receive y our copy as part of your subscription next Tuesday, July 20th. The rest will be able to buy them at various newstands around town both before and for a short time after the centennial weekend.
If the 90th anniversary was any indication, they

will sell fast so be sure to get your copy as soon as possible.
In addition to being jam-packed with history and some never published before old photos, the party’s schedule of events is in the center spread of section B; something that everyone will surely want to use as a guide to fun that week!
My staff deserve a huge amount of praise. They have put in a great amount of EXTRA effort to make this commemorative edition for you! Thanks Linda and Anne!
All that will be left once the edition is out is for the party to begin! Then I will go to work with the camera and bring all the great memories to you the following Tuesday!
