You are here
Almost time to vote!
This Thursday is election day in Ontario.
Have you decided who you will vote for?
I was undecided before last week's all candidates debate in Stratton and afterwards was still in that same boat.
In fact as I write this I am torn between two candidates.
With long time M.P.P. Howard Hampton retiring from provincial politics this go around, it seems we have all new faces to choose from here in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding.
All are relative newcomers to political office. All seem equally committed to bettering our great part of the province.
While some of the issues, like the doctor shortage here in Rainy River, have them scrambling to find answers for the electorate, others have easy answers etched into their party's platforms.
Some of those platforms may have things that appeal to you.
I am sure you have seen many advertisements and know some of the things they stand for.
If you are like me you will be watching, listening and reading as much as you can before the election to decide who to vote for.
On Thursday if I still haven't made up my mind I will still go and vote. It might mean I have to flip a coin and hope for the best, but I will still vote.
I hope that you will also exercise your given right in this democracy to have a say in the future of our riding and the province.
–Until then,
Ken
