"I can't remember my name!"

Where does time go?
This weekend my parents are celebrating several occasions as they are planning on leaving us tougher young'ns to brave the cold Canadian winter, once my mom is officially retired later this month!
They will be celebrating my mom's birthday, and Christmas with as many of us that can make it. But most importantly they will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary!
Thirty years! Wow!
It seems just like yesterday when my dad and I got our suit jackets on (I was his best man) and headed over to the church in Kenora.
I remember going in the side door, and that the bride, my mom-to-be, was late.
Then we proceeded with the ceremony and all went well until I went up to sign the register as a witness. I turned around and saw how many people were in the church and froze!
Pen in hand I just sat there... my dad asked what was wrong and I said, smiling, clenching my teeth, "I can't remember my name!" They told me and suddenly the fear of the crowd was gone!
It is a wonder I can remember any of that from 30 years ago, especially since I couldn't remember my name!
Happy anniversary Mom and Pop!
–Until then,
Ken
