I love it when a plan comes together

I love it when a plan comes together!
Monday morning that was exactly what happened!
About a year ago, on a whim, my honey and I called her dad, Marty Brown.
We found out he had just retired from the building industry, and we asked if he was interested in coming up north to construct a much smaller project than he was used to.
He said sure why not!
In the spring Kim ordered a garage package from a building supply business in Bemidji and the plan was now in full execution stage!
Her dad arrived in early June, I took two weeks vacation and we began working on this project. For Marty it was considerably smaller than his last job. I remember the day we poured the concrete. There were three of us, he said he had more than 400 guys under him when he did his last concrete pour!
But to us the project was huge! It lead to a 30X36 structure that as of this week is part garage and part beauty salon!
Receiving word Monday that Kims Kreative Kuts N Kolors was now a licensed salon (as of Dec. 1st), was the culmination of a year's worth of efforts!
There were many hurdles along the way and many learning curves. Never had I thought I would learn to build from the ground up, wire or plumb! I am sure Kim never expected to learn how to texture a ceiling or tape, mud and sand drywall!
What a journey it has been!
–Until then,
Ken
