Tis the season to give unto others
As Sunday approaches, the excitement levels for so many people are elevating.
For young children thoughts of what Jolly old St. Nicholas (a.k.a. Santa Claus) will be bringing them from the North Pole.
For others it is the culmination of weeks of preparation and the good feelings their efforts will bring to others.
For parents with grown children it is the joy of having loved ones come home and visit.... some bringing grandchildren!
For me it is seeing the joy on my loved one's faces as they open their gifts. I so love to give; more so than receive.
I think it stems from my youth, when I would of course, experience so much happiness receiving from Santa and my parents.
The season really is about giving and receiving when you think about it.
God gave his only son so that we might receive eternal life.
While we have been diligently working to find gifts to bring happiness to our loved ones, others still, have been giving their time and efforts to feed the poor or raise much needed money for charities that help the needy.
I can truly say that I am thankful for having so much and being able to give to my loved ones and to charities that need it.
Merry Christmas and remember it tis the season to give unto others.
–Until then,
Ken
