It was a Super Sunday!

Did you watch the Superbowl on Sunday?
We sure did but not all of us were watching for the same reasons.
We decided that rather than go out to a party somewhere, we would have our own little party at home with the kids.
Now the kids know that when mom and I watch Vikings football throughout the fall and winter months that there are usually good snacks to be had.
However, I don't think they knew that the food would be extra special for the Superbowl.
We made two beer can chickens, my secret recipe Superbowl Dip, veggie trays, put out spinach dip and french bread, as well as several bags of chips! It was a super snack extravaganza!
We also made up a Superbowl board for fun, giving everyone 20 squares and had some small prizes!
Well the game started and some of us were glued to the t.v. to watch the actual teams play.
Others were more interested in the commercials. Of course they are always entertaining during the big game!
While none of us watching were Giants or Patriots fans, most of us thought it was a pretty good game.
However, loyalties seemed to switch whenever a quarter was ending and a potential score by one team or the other could see them win on the Superbowl board!
Then the food was brought out. Our son fell in love with my Superbowl Dip! For him it was the food. For some it was the board. Some it was the commercials.
For me it was all of the above! It was a fun family event and made for a Super Sunday!
