We are poised to grow if mine goes!

Well it certainly was an interesting open house last week.
Rainy River Resources sounds like they are moving forward with a mine in the Blackhawk area.
They have spent a great deal of money on exploration and are now entering the environment assessment phase. If all goes well they could be processing gold here in about four years.
Great news if it makes it off the drawing board!
While at the open house I asked them if it were true that they had purchased the old Globeco building and CNR bunkhouse for a mining school.
While they said they had not, wouldn't that be a great idea for our community! It would create jobs, bring new people to town and perhaps even convince miners to buy or build a home here.
Rainy River is the best positioned of communities to have new homes or businesses constructed. With the recent upgrades to the town's sewer system we are poised to grow. Other towns have yet to address that.
I hope that our town fathers are actively pursuing the residential spin-off from the mine.
–Until then,
Ken
