The curve balls of life

Life is full of curve balls.
Only three months ago I was newly engaged and loving every minute of it.
Then a curve ball was thrown our way. She had to move for work reasons and over the weekend she did just that.
Being educated in a field that required her to log so many hours under a licensed professional, she attempted to find a full time position in this area to no avail.
Now facing losing her education she has chosen to move where there is work in her field. Being she

is American and I am Canadian it was not as easy as saying... let’s all go.
So rather than follow a long and complicated path we decided to end the engagement and stay friends.
Life is never easy and this was definitely not an easy pitch to swing at. But as in baseball, the game must go on.
I wish her luck and who knows maybe some day we will play ball together again.
