Dry weather is the spl(ouch)its!

As I write this I cringe everytime I have to type the letters 'L' or 'O'.
It is not that I don't like them its that I have a split on the end of my finger that types those l(ouch)etters!
Now come winter I am always prone to splits at the end of my fingers as the dry winter air wreaks havoc on them.
But this is only October and this is the second one I have had this fall(double ouch!).
I guess the lack of moisture we have had this summer is leaving my skin to crack and split early. I mean what else can it be?
I have never found a fool proof way to combat these painful(ouch) splits.
Sometimes vasoline works. Sometimes lotion.
Sometimes it takes peroxide, then one of those antibacterial creams and a bandaid.
I have heard of people using crazy glue on them... but I have never tried that. Al(ouch)ways afraid I might glue my finger to something!
I guess I could search for a remedy on the internet... but that famous search engine that we all use has an abundance of those pain causing letters... Go(ouch)o(ouch)gl(ouch)ing it my hurt more than its worth!
