Sports means family time!
Sunday I was in awe as I looked around the living-room and saw so many members of my family having a good time together.
It was centered around the Minnesota Vikings football game.
When I first entered my fiancee's life, no one in their house watched football ever.
Now whenever possible we all have family time during the game. Sometimes we all watch the game from beginning to end and others it is a hodge podge of coming in and out to see what the score is.
At first Kim and the kids did not know much about football. I spent the time to explain what happens during the game. Before long they were all well versed in many of the rules.
Sunday Kim and I and her cousin Lanis stepped outside to put ribs on the bbq at half-time. A little while later I heard cheering from the living room.
I went in and found our kids, and two others that were over, all sitting there watching and cheering for a Vikes touchdown.
It reminded me of the many Saturdays my dad and I (as a kid) spent watching Hockey Night in Canada together.
