Spending time with family is priceless

Ho, ho holy it is almost Christmas!
Where does the time go?
It seems just like yesterday we were starting 2012... heck I am still not used to writing 2012 instead of 2011... and in a few weeks I will have to learn to write 2013!
I have done very little of my Christmas shopping for the year... usually by now I am all done! Eeeek! I better get cracking!
I did manage to get my tree up on Saturday and decorated on Sunday. And the outside of the house is decorated.
But shopping... well I just haven't felt like it was time to get out there and get it done.
Of course one must have money to shop and lately unforeseen expenses have piled up and kept me from having some to spend on loved ones.
Hopefully there will not be any more unexpected bills popping up between now and Christmas.
We have already decided to go lean this Christmas... so I won't need as much money as in years past to buy gifts. And last year we stopped buying for extended family members.
If I just can't find any more disposable income between now and the holiday, just being together will be gift enough for me and I am sure for most of our family.
Its kind of like that credit card slogan a few years ago... new toy, $30... spending time with family, PRICELESS!
