Thank goodness for her brain!

Behind every great man there is even a greater woman!
My fiancee proved this philosophy several times this past weekend.
After the freezing rain we had late last week I could not get any of my car doors open. So I implored the use of hot water; pouring it over both front doors and voila they opened!
But the battle was far from over. Once open I discovered that the catches/locks were frozen and the doors would not stay shut.
I tried running the car with the heat on high trying to thaw them out... no luck. I tried WD-40.... no luck.
I went inside and told her what was going on and said I might have to call a mechanic for a tip. She said, "Did you try a hair dryer?"
My jaw dropped... "Why didn't I think of that?!"
It worked!
Then on Sunday when we were attempting to rack the homemade wine we were making we were not having success in getting it to syphon. We tried sucking on the hose... only to get a taste of the far from finished product and have the wine stop siphoning. I was stumped... she said, "Give me my phone... I'm going to Google it!"
She found a solution using water in the hose that worked really slick!
Later on when there was a little wine left that could not be siphoned I suggested using a measuring cup with a pour spout.... seemed like a good idea. But she added a funnel... making the job even more fluid!
One good idea after another all weekend! She is so smart! Can't imagine how I would have made it through the weekend without her!
