There once was a man named Ken

Ken Johnston

No matter how he tried he could only be in one place at one time.
Sometimes that frustrated him and more often then not it frustrated the Record’s readers.
Monday evening that scenario played itself out for probably the 1,000th time since Ken was made editor (way back in the gold rush days of 1889,,,, ooops... I mean 1989).
Three events unfolded at the same time. Rainy River Town Council held its monthly meeting, Rainy River Youth Soccer played Emo in a series of games and Rainy River High School held a meeting to determine ways of ensuring its future viability.
Ken was able to go down to the soccer field at 6:30 p.m. and snap some quick photos of the games... he is hoping someone will fill the game details in later this week.
Then he zipped over to the town hall and covered the always important monthly council meetings at which tax laws were passed and a new councilor (Dean Wiersema) filled the recently vacated spot on council.
Unfortunately Ken was unable to get to the third event, but is hoping to get together with the parties who were involved and do a story for next week’s paper.
Ken has often said, “I wish I could be be in three places at once,” but has yet to succeed.
So with that in mind, Ken asks that all of you with digital cameras and the ability to write, to help him out when you can... that way Ken won’t have to undergo experimental cloning procedures and the readers will be able to see all the news they expect.
–Until then, Ken’s subconscience
