Thanks for the support

It was a very tough week for my family this past week.
Saying goodbye to my grandfather, Martin Grinstead, was an experience that is still hanging onto me.
There were so many precious stories about the crafty and entertaining things he did throughout his life.
At the funeral it became abundantly clear that he had touched so many people’s lives with laughter, magic and kindness. I sat listening to his former minister from Thunder Bay and my cousin Amanda talk about their great memories of him and realized

just about everyone one in the church could sit for hours and tell happy tales about Grandpa Marrrrrtin or Fearless Grinstead and never run out of material.
Many of you expressed your condolences to myself and to our family. To you I say a special thanks.
I also owe a debt of gratitude to my colleagues at the Fort Frances Times and Rainy River Record; especially Wes Gilbertson and Anne Mailloux who both stepped up and filled my shoes last week in our time of sorrow. Thanks people!
–Until then,
Ken
