Why should you shop at home?
Money spent locally tends to stay local. One study showed that every dollar spent at home recirculates an average of seven times.
That generates jobs and in turn more spending and prosperity. That prosperity leads to a strong tax base, which is needed to support the services we all depend on.
So why might you not be shopping at home?
Perhaps it is a service issue? Or maybe you can not find what you want at a particular business? Whatever the reason, now is the time for you to have your voice heard. Come to the public meeting being held by the Chamber of Commerce next Wednesday and tell the businesses what they need to do to earn your business. After all we are all in this community together and together we can do anything.
Admittedly we all love our town and no one wants to see it go down the tubes. The business community is the backbone of the town and without them we would all face higher taxes, have no one to donate continuously to our youth activities, and have no where to buy the goods we need.
Sure some of the things businesses can do are common sense, but the old saying goes, “The customer is always right.” So come out and help the businesses do you right!
