Almost ready to spark up the display

Decorating fever hit my house over the weekend.
I put up a few sets of lights about a week ago but really did not sink my teeth into it until this past weekend.
I found the biggest part of decorating this year, other than untangling the strands that no matter how you store them, seem to get tangled up in the off season, was the trying to find certain decorations.
I changed my colour scheme last year. I put blue icicle lights up last year instead of the white or red and white ones of years past.
Well I decided to go back to white this year and sure enough I could not find one set of the lights that go on the main floor... gremlins must have taken them.
Then I had two candy canes for the front steps.... usually they are stored together... well guess what... one is missing in action... darn gremlins!
So I improvised and changed my display.
I have about 85% of the lights up for this year, at least the outside ones. Still have the inside of windows to do, etc.
The latest craze is LED lights... burn a lot less power (80-90% less). But I think I will wait until they come down in price... another year or so they will drop.
