You are here
March Madness is here!
And no for all you sports nuts I am not talking about college basketball.
Every March there is a flurry of activities some through the week, but most on the weekends. Often they come in clusters unlike the rest of the year where often there is only one activity per weekend.
This past weekend there was the Morson Fish Derby and the Stratton Curling Bonspiel.
Over the next several weeks there will be hockey, winter carnivals, figure skating shows, more curling and much much more as all the winter activities crank up to wind down.
No one can say there is nothing to do in the win-
ter and March is proof of that as there is so much for people to participate in or even just attend and enjoy.
When I first started at the Record it used to be the first few weeks of March that were packed with so much to do and enjoy. Now March Madness extends into February!
It is good to be busy and the activities provide for some great photos and news opportunities.
In about five weeks when it is April and quiet just about every weekend, I will wonder what to do with myself as the madness subsides.
–Until then,
Ken
