Ricky Ricardo Johnston, 3

Ricky Ricardo Johnston, 3 (27 in dog years), passed away on July 23, 2007.
While his time on Earth was short in terms of people years and his time with his adopted family even shorter, Ricky quickly won the hearts of all who met him.
He was a very playful young man and was always wanting to give and get love from anyone he met.
Ricky quickly established that he was an inquisitive fellow, jumping on his father’s card table every day in the winter to look out the front window of his Rainy River home. In the summer when he was not busy sunning himself on the deck, he would sit inside enjoying a view from his dad’s couch out the front window.
Ricky had quite a spring to him. He could jump nearly as high as a cat and often would leap onto people’s laps just to get some good lovin!
When he was excited he would bound around with his front paws bouncing up and down. This bounce became known as his “Tigger Bounce.”
Ricky quickly became accustomed to working shifts at the Rainy River Record with his brother Navy Boy every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Treat testing was their specialty!
Ricky also loved to travel having come from the city (Minneapolis, MN.) he enjoyed a nice car ride to places like Itasca State Park, and Bemidji, MN. where his mom Kim Brown lives.
Ricky seemed so full of life, that no one could have imagined that he would be gone so fast.
In less than a week he went from playful to weak and raggedy- annish. But he tried as he could to go on walks right until the end and to hold his head high.
Ricky will be sadly missed by his dad, Ken Johnston (Rainy River), his mom Kim (Bemidji), his brother Navy Boy (RR), step-brothers Bear Bear and Yogi (both of Bemidji), grandparents Irwin and Norma (RR) and Jim and Ellie (Bemidji).
Donations can be made in Ricky’s name to the Humane Society of your choice.
