Size really does matter!
Size matters... well that is at least what I have heard.
Since last New Year's Day I have been dreaming about owning a High Definition Television.
You see I spent the New Year's holiday watching NFL football on my brother Pete's 50 inch plasma HD t.v.
I was blown away by how I could literally count the blades of grass on the screen. It was super crisp or highly defined!
Well the dream was born and I drooled over them every time I went into a store with a big wall full of them.
But price was bigger than my dream... but it does not hurt to dream.
Then about two months ago the prices on them all came way down.
In fact the t.v. my brother bought was $3,500 when he purchased it and it now sells for less than half of that.
Well I thought maybe I would get a 26 inch version... that fit my budget for later in the year. So when the prices dropped I began thinking bigger thoughts.... hmmm... maybe a 32, a 37 or even a 42 inch t.v.!!!!
While I probably could have afforded the 37 or 42 if I tightened my belt it was the actual standing in front of them all that had me realize that size does matter.
I have a really small living room and once I realized that I would have to go sit across the street to look at a 37 or 42, I settled on the 32 LCD HD t.v.
I am very happy with it but was saddened to realize that the critters do not fit very well in the old entertainment units. Needless to say I spent the weekend building a new entertainment unit.
–Until then,
Ken
