Not much good for glass cutting

Over the weekend I learned that my new circular saw that I received for Christmas is not very good for cutting glass!!!!
For Valentines day I decided to build a new back splash and shelf behind my honey's kitchen sink. Everything was going according to plan. I put the anchor board on the wall and then measured the waterproof paneling that I was going to cut with my new saw.
However, I did not have anywhere where I could cut a 3.5 inch strip off the 4'X8' sheet. So I decided to use her kitchen table. I was going great guns when I was about a foot away from being done it started to bind. So I let off the trigger of the saw and lifted the paneling up to stop the binding. Well when I lifted the sheet moved and the saw, although almost stopped hit the glass top on the table. The entire corner shattered.
I was pretty upset with myself. I was trying to improve the house, not make it worse.
Well fortunately she said she did not like that table anyway so my feeling bad was somewhat short-lived.
However, I made the mistake of telling my best friend in RR over the phone. When I hit town I was ribbed by friends and family about trying to cut a square table into a round table. "How's the glass cutting business? How's the round table making business." Oh well one has to laugh at one's self from time to time to understand why others are laughing at you... so that is what I did. I did tell them that the blade on my saw was diamond cut sharpened... they laughed again.
–Until then,
