Camping in the garage!
Have you ever gone camping in the garage?
Well over the weekend a group of us did just that... well sort of.
Thursday night my parents and I journeyed to Chippewa National Forest near Cass Lake, MN. We set up camp in about 85 degree heat. After the sun went down the mosquitoes came out.
On Friday we went on a bog walk near Bemidji hoping the bugs would not be too bad and they weren't (only one layer of Deep Woods Off was needed).
That afternoon my fiancee and her parents arrived to set up and spend the rest of the weekend with us.
Kim's dad and mom brought us something I did not expect... a garage for our camp site.
Now the garage was not what comes to mind at first thought; nor was it to park a our cars in.
It was one of those portable garages. We set up the frame and put the canvass roof on it and voila... we had a shelter in the event of rain.
Well later that evening the rain came and again on Saturday the same.
The garage was a life saver. We ate, visited and stayed dry under it.
Thanks Jim! Your garage was a lifesaver!
–Until then,
Ken
