Are you an old school t.v. watcher?

Are you an old school television watcher?
Well it won't be long and old school watching will be so old that unless you make some changes you will only be watching the snow flakes of static on your screen.
In the mid 1970s efforts by our American neighbours saw our television universe expand from just CBC to four stations including ABC, NBC and CBS out of the U.S.
Towers were erected to relay analog signals to rabid ears and outside antennas on homes in the area. We watched CBC on channel 5 and the other three on 53, 55 and 57.
Well next year the U.S. stations will go all digital and CBC will follow within the next couple of years.
So what does that mean?
It means that the older analog signal systems in our t.v.'s will not pick up the digital signals without a special converter box.
Many newer flat screen t.v.'s have the digital/analog converters built in, but if you have older t.v.'s in your home you will need a converter box that costs around $50.
They are available at some electronics stores and as the time for signals to change comes closer I am sure they will be every where.
–Until then,
