Five weeks of boredom ahead

YAWN!
Well I guess it is time to get excited about going to the polls for the third time in the past five years... well I guess we are supposed to get excited.
Frankly what is there to be excited about?
The leaders of the parties are no where near as charismatic as Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin.
I find Prime Minister Stephen Harper to be more of a one man band type of guy as a leader; controlling everything his party members do, even though he preached free voting in his opposition days.
Liberal Leader Stephane Dion stumbles and bumbles through just about every interview.
NDP Leader Jack Layton probably is the most charismatic of all the leaders but for some reason just can't connect with the electorate.
Green Party Elizabeth May also strikes me as stumbly and bumbly when she speaks on television.
So while we have been inundated with US politics for the past two years and have found great excitement in their historic election of possibly the first black American or a woman in the white house, we will now have to endure our boring, uncharismatic politicians for the next five weeks or so.
At least it is only five weeks and not two years of boredom.
–Until then,
