How does one train a wild animal?
How does one train a wild animal?
For the umpteenth time this past weekend I fixed the skirting around my honey's home.
Last year I repaired the holes in the vinyl skirting of her double-wide home. She had skunks get in through some broken panels in it and spray under the house.
With it repaired I figured the worry was over.
This summer one of the skirting panels appeared to have popped open so I put it back in place. Then an animal dug its way under the frame of the skirting.
I filled the hole in but it repeatedly dug its way in or out. So I filled the hole with rocks, dirt and sod. Then it figured out how to pop the skirting open again.
After several attempts I figured out how to brace it so the animal could not pop it open.
Thinking the problem was all solved... I was surprised when the animal dug just to the side of the rocky area... again I filled it in with rocks and dirt... guess what... my honey told me Monday that it had dug to the side of that... I just can't figure out how to train that wild animal... maybe a live trap is needed.
–Until then,
