Stop by for a trick or a treat!

Trick or treat... that is the question!!
Kids will be venturing out onto the streets this Friday in search of tricks or treats... well that is what they say.
The fact of the matter is, most kids don't really think about what the phrase means.
They expect to get a treat and not necessarily a trick.
Some do not mind a trick but still expect a treat.... not a trick OR a treat!
My mom, Norma Jean Johnston, has been doing tricks and giving out treats for as long as I can remember. Her 203 3rd Street home in Rainy River is a stop that many, many people are sure to visit every Halloween to see what tricks she has in store for them this year.
Sometimes it is scary and sometimes what she does is funny.
Parents of the kids that have been coming the last several years remember her doing some of her crazy Halloween tricks when they were kids and want to visit Norma for a trick. Sometimes the parents are more into the trick than the kids are into the treats.
My parents always offer a treat after the trick and most take it, but some are completely satisfied (or just too scared) and do not take one.
She is in planning mode for this Friday so be sure to stop by for a trick or treat or both!
–Until then, Ken
