What a mixed bag of weather
What a mixed bag of weather this past weekend.
On Friday it was t-shirt weather in the morning hovering around 70°F. By nightfall it was really windy and flirting with freezing again. That night it snowed where I was.
All day Saturday it was windy and the temps barely made it to 50°F out of the wind. We were hosting a birthday party for my future step-son Riley on Saturday and had planned to have a bonfire that evening so the kids could roast marshmallows, etc.
But the high wind all day made that look impossible and at one point we said we were not going to do it. Then all of a sudden the wind just about stopped.
We lit the fire and the last of us went to bed around midnight.
It was so much fun we said we were going to have another fire Sunday evening.
Then the wind returned. However, it was much warmer with my brother Pete and future step-daughter getting sunburned.
The wind did not subside Sunday evening like it did Saturday and the fire was cancelled.
Returning home Monday it was near 70°F at 1 p.m. By 4 p.m. it was down to 47°F! What a difference.
Tuesday it was only 34°F when I awoke and it did not get really warm most of the day.
For today there are predictions of 73°F Then down to the mid 60s for the rest of the week.
Amazing how many swings there have been in less than a week.
