Busy vacation, but worth it!

Take a vacation? What is that?
Well last week I did just that for the first time in about five years or more (been so long can't remember).
With the arrival of our first grandchild, my fiancee decided to throw a baby shower this past Sunday.
Kim looked after the inviting, organizing the food, etc.
I agreed to be the guy behind the scenes. I would work in the house for a few days, fixing and sprucing up things like the deck.
As is the case in just about any home repair/renovation, you run across obstacles and I certainly did that. But once they were overcome the place looked great.
Then I set up two sun shelters and did things like set up tables, chairs and stocked coolers. It was a busy week and the payoff came on Sunday with a wonderful party.
We did take a couple of days off to just kick back and it felt great!
I have to say thanks to my staff, Anne Mailloux and Dawn Drennan and Peggy Revell, Jack Elliott and even a former summer student here, Richard Armstrong for filling in for me while away.
–Until then, Ken
