We should have turkey every month!

Living on a border has many advantages and on Thursday some of us here in Canada took one of them in willingly!
Since my fiancee is American it was her Thanksgiving and we decided to celebrate it with her and another one of our American friends; Susie Armstrong!
At first I fully expected to be invited to the US for dinner but when Kim decided to take a couple of days off and come to Canada to celebrate I was pleasantly surprised! We had my family on board and were beginning to plan our second turkey dinner in as many months (seeing our Thanksgiving was last month)! Then Susie Armstrong, who lives in Rainy River, but was born an American, offered to host! Everyone brought a little something and before dinner we had our family's matriarch, Grandma Jean, give thanks.
We have many of the same things to be thankful for between Canada and the US; so it was a perfect fit!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the big turkey dinner again!
Now if we could just find another reason to have turkey every month.... well at least next month Christmas takes care of that! Any ideas for January?
–Until then,
Ken
