Enjoying the early summer weather

It appears that summer has arrived early this year and I am not complaining!
Over the weekend we sat on the deck every day and hosted people for my future step-son's birthday.
After some much needed rain over the past week, the sun was welcomed with open arms by everyone!
Riley turned 13 and as if he had planned it invited his friends over for the birthday party and told them to bring swim suits for water play in the yard. A week earlier they would have been wet from the rain but also would have been bundling up as it was chilly.
It is amazing how quickly the seasons change here. In fact I find that spring and fall jackets never wear out as the transition is so quick here that we often go from winter coats/boots to short sleeves, shorts and sandals in the matter of a week or two and vice versa in the fall/winter transition.
We also had our first bonfire of the season and my folks slept out in the camper!
Now plans are being finalized for our first camping trip of the season and the weather looks like it is going be equally as nice if not nicer!
Summer is wonderful! It is also so precious as it is so short!
I dream about camping trips all winter long and other great things we get to do in the summer. It looks like we are getting an extension on the front end of it this year so enjoy!
