Can't wait to get back to normal again

I never realized how much I use my pinky toes until I broke one of them ten days ago.
For the first few days I wore flip flop shoes and tried to stay off my feet. But anyone who knows me knows I have a tendency to want to be on the move all the time.... my fiancee calls it Adult ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). I prefer to call it staying active.
Well with a drilling pain shooting through my foot and up into my body via my nervous system, I was unable to do many things I wanted to.
But being as stubborn as I am, I decided I was going to get back into my regular shoes and get some stuff done.
The tennis shoes came back on Tuesday.
I planted my garden Wednesday.
Thursday I cut the grass.
Saturday I started a fencing project and continued it on Sunday. I also thinned some of my flower gardens and pruned the trees around the yard Sunday.
One thing I have not gotten back to normal is the amount of walking I usually do. I really noticed that this past Monday when I brought my car to work.
I had an appointment at RRHS Monday morning, and figured I better bring the car. I used to always bring the car if I had to go to the school and then a few years ago decided the walking would be good for me and it was!
But after doing all the things I mentioned above, the pain increased in my foot the next day.
Monday at lunch when I drove back to work I felt guilty. "I should be walking" I said to myself. But until the pain goes away I guess I will be doing more driving. I can't wait to get back to normal.
