You are here

It is all the way you say it!

Sometime it is all in the way you say something.
Some people say POTATTT-O others say POTATE-O... thats potato... in case you were wondering.
Along a similar line is the one topic we all seem to talk about.... the weather.
Lately it has been raining pretty much off and on for what seems like weeks. We were spoiled by a super dry and mild spring in March and April and a good part of May.
At first everyone was relieved we were getting moisture. Most were concerned about forest fires and not enough water for gardens. But we are a fickle bunch.
Many of us have grown tired of the rain and every time the forecast is announced over the radio or on t.v. we hear depressing news. "There is a 40% chance of rain today, 30% tomorrow... etc."
A few weeks ago I said to my honey we need to change our outlook on the weather. Instead of hearing there is a 40% chance of it being wet and gloomy we need to think positively. Now I say there is a 60% chance of it being dry and sunny out!
That sounds so much better. She bought into it and last week when cooworkers were getting depressed over the forecast she brightened their spirits by at least 60%!
While we can't change the weather we can change our attitudes and help brighten people's days!
–Until then,
Ken
