How many birthdays make a party?

What is one to do when there are five birthdays amongst friends and family in less than a month?
Well that is just the case for our clan of friends and family.
On Saturday we gathered at Jim and Sue Armstrong's house for a giant birthday party.
It started with my sister Michelle being here for a week's holidays and saying we should get together and celebrate our birthdays.
I mentioned it to Sue and she said she would love to have a birthday party at her place since it was Jim's 43rd on Friday, July 16th.
Add to the equation that it was her own birthday (number to remain confidential) on July 3rd, mine on July 23rd (I'll be 43) and my sister's on July 28th (she'll be.... umm... better not say... she might kill me!) and we had the makings of a great time.
Then we realized that my future mother-in-law, Elle Maltais, celebrated hers last Tuesday (again the number is a secret, wink wink). So now five of the 15 or so guests were birthday boys and girls! What a great cause for celebration!
Birthday boy Jim deep-fried some turkey, and rotisseried some chickens on the bbq.
Everyone brought a little something to eat, and many gifts were exchanged.
Then came b-day cake time. There were two cakes and a homemade bannana cream pie (made by chef Uncle Bob).
I had a sliver of all three! It was like a dessert tray at a fancy restaurant! What a good time!
–Until then,
Ken
