Zaagewe-Giizhik Frederick Joseph Archie, 41, of Big Grassy First Nation, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002 on Lake of the Woods near Raspberry Island.

Oscar Erickson of Rainy River died at his home on Sunday, July 28, 2002. Oscar was born in Hartford, South Dakota on June 17, 1917 to Oscar and Stella Erickson.

Ida Theoline Olson, nee Morken, age 90 years of Emo, formerly of Stratton, ON, passed away peacefully with her loving family and friends at LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances on Saturday, July 13, 2002.

Florence A. Thivierage Griffin, age 83 of St. Paul, MN, formerly of Rainy River, ON died on July 13, 2002. Remembered by relatives and friends on both sides of the border. She shall be missed.
