This week I would like to provide you with a brief update on the townhall meetings that I recently held throughout the riding and what I am doing to address the issues and concerns that were raised in those meetings.

Santa Claus will be coming to town this week and making appearances throughout the district in the next several weeks. This annual time of fun, mystery and magic rekindles memories in everyone.

This is a reminder that as of January 1, 2010 ALL cattle MUST be tagged with a CCIA approved RFID tag.

I hope this column finds you and your family well. I also hope you were able to take a moment in the last week to remember the sacrifices of our men and women in the armed forces as part of your activities on Remembrance Day. It’s something we should do more frequently. Looking forward, parliament resumes sitting next week so this column will provide you with an update on two important issues for our riding; the recent Long Gun Registry vote and my work to stop the rapidly approaching implementation of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).
