A fun family fishing weekend

Last weekend was a fishing weekend. My brother-in-law Tom Foster and his son Ben came for a weekend of fishing on Rainy Lake. My son Brendan who came in from Calgary joined them. Tom and Ben live in Waterloo. Tom has a cottage on Healey Lake near Parry Sound.

This week some hard numbers poked some pretty big holes in the Conservative government’s rhetoric concerning both Canada Post and job creation in this country.

Which candidates have the best skills?

We are going to have a municipal election. As of early Monday morning, Fort Frances had two candidates for mayor and 13 candidates for the six council positions. The election will be interesting to say the least. Mail in ballots will be distributed early in October and the ballots will be tabulated on October 27.
