When you take your drivers license, one of the tasks that you are examined on is whether or not you do a walk around of your vehicle to insure that it is in safe condition. You are checking to see that the lights are there, the tires have air, the windows are not broken and there are no oil or liquid patches under the vehicle. I doubt that most of us do that on a regular basis.
Pilots do the same. I hadn’t thought about how important that walk around a plane is until the last two sets of air flights that I have flown.

I was on the Fort Frances Council when the water tower was constructed. It was completed in 1985 just when the water treatment plant was began construction. Up until that point in time a water pumping station located at Pither’s Point Park supplied the water for the community and Couchiching First Nation.
