(FORT FRANCES, ON) Members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment conducted several Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) checks over the long weekend as part of Operation Impact.

Lake of the Woods Walleye Class a great success

The 2011 Lake of the Woods Walleye Challenge on the Thanksgiving weekend results are 1st place team #22 Kevin Yerxa & Phyllisity Jack with day one weight 22.04lbs and day two 8.08lbs for a total of 30.12lbs which got them $2500.00. Team # 24 Terry Brennan & Todd Halverson took 2nd place with day one weight of 11.63lbs and day two 16.63 for a total of 28.26lbs which landed them with $1200.00. Third place went to team #16 Reuben Gibbins & Lynn Indian with day one weight being 13.57lbs and day two 12.11lbs with a total of 25.68 and got them $800.00.
