Very grateful for all the help

Dear Editor,
From the bottom of my heart I would l like to express my gratitude to the generous members of the Rainy River Community Choir for the lovely fund raising dinner held in my honor on April 18.
The dinner was delicious and the auction very entertaining! The amount of money raised was astounding and will greatly aid Melinda and I during those times that I am unable to work due to treatments.
I am amazed at what a great job the choir members did in so skillfully organizing everything, and greatly appreciate the number of hours they must have sacrificed out of their weekend to prepare for this mammoth event. The immense show of support that you have all extended toward me over the past several months means more to me than I can ever express.
The local businesses and individuals who assisted the choir by donating food and space to prepare the food for the dinner and all of the lovely items for the auction deserve recognitions as well as does the Legion who so generously donated their hall for the choir’s use. This event would probably not have become a reality without your help.
Last (but certainly not least), to all of the warm and generous people of the Rainy River/Stratton area who purchased tickets to the dinner, who bought items at the auction, and who showed their unending support through donations, cards, hugs, prayers, and phone calls, I am extremely grateful. Although it has been a trying time for my family and me, your willingness to assist has touched me so deeply and made my battle with cancer so much easier. No one could ask for a more wonderful group of friends!
