Council to pass user fee bylaw

A public meeting was held Tuesday evening by Rainy River town council to
seek input on 2004 tax ratios and a proposed user fee bylaw.
No one showed up.
Tax ratios will remain the same as last year.
User fees will generally remain the same.
Lottery license fees will drop from 2% of prize payouts to 1%.
Overnight camping will rise to $10 per night.
Building permits will go up as will several rental rates around town;
including ice rental at the arena. Minor hockey and Fig. skaters will now
pay $79.60/hr for games. Private renters will pay $103.95 for games.
Several hourly rates for town crew services will also rise.
