Town to pave marina areas

Ken Johnston

Rainy River Town council held a special meeting Monday evening to pass three new bylaws, tax ratios and a motion to pave the marina.
The bylaws dealt with miscellaneous user fees, a new procedural manual for council and the 2004 tax ratios.
Tax ratios will remain the same as last year.
Asphalt paving of the marina will take place in two places. The west end of the park, where the big tent is set up each year for the walleye tournament will be paved and the Second St. boat launch approach will be paved.
The cost for the west paving is $17,783.40 and the cost of the east paving is $12,998.36.
