RR Red Hat Society turns seven

Les Rouge Rogues have been active over the summer months and are planning for their 7th year of laughter and friendships in Rainy River.

Tues. Aug. 31st our “Share the Wealth” supper will be held at Oak Grove Camp. Ladies are asked to bring dishes created from their gardens. Bring your pennies for a game. Our Red Hat Society Charter runs from Aug. 12th 2010-2011, which means our donation of Fun Fees are now appropriate. ($20.00 for the year per lady). Please bring your membership card to be punched; everyone will receive a thank you gift. The ladies are also saving items for a future clothing/gift exchange so gather up your red and purple items.
Newcomers are welcome, please contact Queen La Diva (Susan Douglas) at 852-1937 for the time. The Book Worms Book Club also resumes with our kick off at 11:30 a.m. at The Smiling Moon in Baudette, Tues. Sept. 14th. Join us for lunch and bring your favourite read. We’ll be practising a few tongue twisters as well.
Our next out of town adventure is “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” as we head out to the 7th annual red hat extravaganza in Mahnomen, Mn. on Sat. Sept. 25th, 2010.
The ladies will spend Friday shopping & touring in Bemidji and then Sat. the fun begins with a Calendar girls contest, prizes galore, a musical variety show and jazz band performance. We’re looking forward to another great year and a few out of town trips as well. Remember; “You’re as young as you act, you’re as young as you feel!”
