Stop calling us!

As if the telemarketers aren’t bad enough, now the phones are ringing steady and the item the callers are selling has little appeal.
That item is a candidate in the upcoming election. Every day the phone rings and someone is soliciting the voter’s backing for their candidate.
The politicians must be less tuned into the public than people thought. Most folks hate telemarketers and hate being continuously inundated by them. The political messages are everywhere and to have someone calling and adding to the telemarketer nightmare really begs the question, “Why does Canada not have a do not call list.”
In the U.S. citizens can call a central location and have their names added to a do not call list. Telemarketers must check it and if they call someone on the list they face big fines.
Politicians promise to solve our problems, but instead seem to always make them worse. Such is the case again with telemarketing.
