Twelve graduate from Our Lady of the Way School

Delightful sparkling lights hanging criss-cross from the ceiling at Our Lady of the Way School greatly charmed the gymnasium audience supported by parents and friends for the graduating class 2004. The class included twelve students.
Matthew Anderson, Skye Blackburde, Charlie DeBungee, Jessica Engels, Thea Heyens, Kelsey Jolicouer, Alyshia Langlais, Kaylie Lundgren, Gabrielle O’Connell, Richard Schulzki, Byron Sharp, Peter Soptiuck.
The processional brought out the class of twelve students attired in their gowns, seated on the stage. Father James Panikulam opened with prayer, Mr. Harold Huntely brought greetings from the Northwest Catholic District school board. Salutatory address was given by Alyshia Langlais, Valedictory address by Peter Sopotiuck.
The last word was provided by former principal David Sharp, who roasted the students.
To the retirees Sharp said “it is sad in one way to see you retire and leave OLOW. We wish you God’s Blessing, this directed at Mrs. Linda Budreau and Janice Lee and also to Father James who is leaving for Thunder Bay to be pastor at St. Agnes Parish 1019 Brown Street.”
Awards presented as follows: Joshua Zimmerman received the award of St. Peter.
Charlie DeBungee received the Proficiency award in Ojibwe.
Kaylie Lundgren and Richard Schulzki received the proficiency in French.
Top male Athletic was picked up by Charlie DeBungee.
Top Female Athlete was Alyshia Langlais.
Kaylie Lundgren was presented the Technology Award.
School Council Fine Arts award presented to Kelsey Jolicouer.
Christian Attitude presented by the three CWL League’s to Richard Schulzki.
Alyshia Langlais (Rainy RIver) and Theo Heyens.
Most improved CWL Pinewood/Stratton, Peter Sopotiuck.
Computer Award to Rich Schulzki.
Alter servers award to Alyshia Langlais, Bryon Sharp, Peter Sopotiuck and Richard Schulzki.
Principal’s award presented to Matthew Anderson.
Our Lady of the Way award TNCDSB Leadership presented to Alyshia Langlais.
O.E.C.T.A. student of the year to Kaylie Lundgren.
